I'm not sure if you've seen my coverage of other Borowczyk films, but I think it's fair to say that his work failed to resonate with me, something which several fans of the director have berated me for in a disparaging manner similar to your own. I'm glad you got a lot more out of <i>Goto</i> than I did, but I hope that you would agree that one person's experience of any film - be it considered high art or Hollywood blockbuster - is subjective.
