Like something out of a Bond film. Fairly predictable and has been done countless times before. For a film that is, for the most part, as tightly plotted as this, I was expecting something a little better by way of conclusion.Sam Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05696602364349746693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4685634083080876125.post-48026887906745234242011-06-30T20:04:16.962+01:002011-06-30T20:04:16.962+01:00I liked the end actually. I thought the scene where Clooney brings the confession out of Swinton was very powerful and well written, well performed too. The final shot that focuses on Clooneys face gives you plenty of time to ponder and leaves you thinking what next for Clayton. Spellbinding with the superb tracklay. A fine send off from Sydney Pollack.Gareth Williamsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4685634083080876125.post-59114049147022888442011-06-29T09:18:15.848+01:002011-06-29T09:18:15.848+01:00I remember thinking it was a particularly well don...I remember thinking it was a particularly well done Grisham-esque legal thriller but not a whole lot more. Doesn't it have a really clunky end? Not seen it since writing this so I do need to give it another go.Sam Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05696602364349746693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4685634083080876125.post-54599714818427206442011-06-28T12:54:35.164+01:002011-06-28T12:54:35.164+01:00I thought this film would be worthy of 5 stars. In my opinion one of the top five films spoken in the English language since the turn of the century, up there with The Assasination of Jesse James, Children of Men, Gladiator and Lost in Translation.Gareth Williamsnoreply@blogger.com
