Mass Effect is one of my favourite ever games so, I guess it would be cool to see it onscreen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4685634083080876125.post-44858116492674885682011-01-18T15:29:31.206+00:002011-01-18T15:29:31.206+00:00Agree with several of those points although I thin...Agree with several of those points although I think that if a game of a film is ever going to escape the problems previously associated with the genre then it has to forget all about the mechanics of the game (i.e; customisation, character moves (Tomb Raider), gameplay traits (Prince Of Persia) , etc) and just focus on moving the characters, look, feel, atmosphere, etc, into a believable, filmic, plot. I think MASS EFFECT is a great opportunity to do that but you're right; I'm sure something of the game will be lost in the process but hey - as long as it's the Mako, I'll be fine with that ;-)Sam Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05696602364349746693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4685634083080876125.post-87166295858993665342011-01-18T14:25:00.559+00:002011-01-18T14:25:00.559+00:00It is a fantastic game but it's a game I would...It is a fantastic game but it's a game I would prefer not to see made into a film. I just find that videogames are derivative of existing properties/myths that have been done to death (Uncharted/Tomb Raider - Indiana Jones) and Mass Effect reminds me of Star Trek as well as Babylon 5. That and the customization is a huge part of the experience, something a linear medium couldn't get to grasps with adequately.

ps. I love the Mako!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
