Trailer Of The Week - Week #38

Opening in cinemas in the US on Friday, Howl is one of those films that despite general critical acclaim, has received little to no publicity. Similar to Black Swan of a few weeks ago, Rob Epstein and Jerry Friedman's film is another festival darling whose success will no doubt in part be measured by how well it translates and is seized upon by mainstream audiences. The trailer, rather messily cut, revealing some of the visual tricks Epstein and Friedman employ and only hinting at the structure the film will take, does little to entertain mainstream notions but does at least reveal James Franco looking very much like he's about to hit top form.

Trailer Of The Week is a regular Film Intel feature which picks a different tasty trailer of delectable goodness every week and presents it on Sunday for your viewing pleasure. Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes major, sometimes independent, sometimes brilliant, sometimes a load of old bobbins: always guaranteed to entertain.
