Film Intel's Final Word

What happened this week and why you shouldn't care.

Mark Wahlberg To Play Nathan Drake In Uncharted Adaptation.

Story: Wired

There endeth any hopes of this being the first good game-to-film adaptation.

First Image From Sherlock Holmes Sequel.

Story: Hitfix

Cue immediate backlash at how 'rubbish' Ritchie's first film was from a number of sites that gave it a positive rating. We're remaining optimistic that Ritchie is about to deliver another world of fun and explosions to satisfy the collective.

Buffy Getting A Whedon-less Reboot.

Story: Empire

Both Empire's takedown of the project and Whedon's humour-filled response contain more invention and skill than the film itself will likely have. I haven't heard a single person say that this is a good thing.

And finally...

Let's Go To The Movies have noticed the distinct similarity between the forthcoming Unknown and Liam Neeson's previous outing in Taken, something which its trailer only seems to echo, prompting the question: when is a sequel not a sequel?
