Trailer Of The Week - Week #5

The problem with writing about films that show at The Sundance Film Festival is that, more often than not, the promotional materials available are limited, with many films at the festival yet to secure a distributor by the time they arrive in Park City. Thankfully, the people behind The Interrupters have got their house in order and have produced this four-minute preview to show what's on offer from their film about violence in Chicago. The documentary, which by all accounts went down well at the festival, looks equal parts horrifying, dramatic and informative and the footage included below (which should probably come with a 'contains footage that may disturb' warning) hints at a compelling insight into a unique approach to combating violence in major cities. No release date is available for the film yet, although some observers suggest it may see its première on television rather than in cinemas.
