Trailer Of The Week - Guardians Of The Galaxy

I can't put my finger on it, but there's something about Guardians Of The Galaxy that leaves me decidedly ambivalent when compared to many of Marvel's previous releases. Maybe its the presence of a WWE wrestler in a lead role (something that's never exactly been a seal of quality); maybe it's the fact that Bradley Cooper's voice just doesn't seem to suit Rocket Raccoon based on what we see and hear in the trailer; or maybe it's the knowingly hip feel - complete with trendy '70s soundtrack - almost like the film is a post-ironic parody of comic book films in general. Whatever it is, I'm not yet convinced by Guardians Of The Galaxy. I hope Marvel can pull it out of the bag once again however, as this is arguably the most ambitious comic-to-film adaptation the studio have attempted since bringing Thor to the big screen.
