Trailer Of The Week - The Purge: Anarchy

Amongst the many problems with The Purge, one of the most prominent was the lack of explanation and context provided for the film's premise. What had led society to the point where, in the near future, all crime is made legal for twelve hours once a year? Who made the decision? And how does life proceed for the other 364 days of the year? Whilst the trailer for The Purge: Anarchy doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence that some of the other issues found in the original will be addressed, at the very least this sequel does seem to hold the potential to expand on and further develop the world these films inhabit. Whether or not that will make this a more entertaining and worthwhile experience than the original remains to be seen.
