Trailer Of The Week - Moonwalker

Last Wednesday saw the fifth anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson. Whether you loved or loathed Jackson, there is no denying his lasting legacy as a performer like no other. 1988's Moonwalker epitomises that status: at times surreal, at others saccharine, but always showcasing Jackson's unique imagination. It also contains at least a handful of genuinely iconic moments - the 1930s-inspired "Smooth Criminal" sequence is now firmly embedded within popular culture and has inspired many a cinematic dance routine since. If none of that floats your boat, Moonwalker also has a claymation rabbit on a motorcycle and Joe Pesci, so there's no faulting it on variety. It's a film I've not sat down and watched for some time, and revisiting the trailer has inspired me to do just that. Watch this space.
