Trailer Of The Week - Week #16

Potentially one of the best trailers of the noughties, when this two-minute wonder hit for Sin City, I will admit to being blown away. Inspired use of music combined with an introduction to the three-act, three-character route the film takes, made for a pumping, emotive, sneak-peak that got everyone excited for the adaptation of Frank Miller's seminal graphic novel. I reckon I must have watched this trailer upwards of twenty times.

Trailer Of The Week is a new Film Intel feature which picks a different tasty trailer of delectable goodness every week and presents it on Sunday for your viewing pleasure. Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes major, sometimes independent, sometimes brilliant, sometimes a load of old bobbins: always guaranteed to entertain. 4. Aiden - Same here on both counts! My flatmates at the time got fairly bored of getting ushered into my room to watch it on a regular basis!

  5. Great stuff. I really have to see this film.

I will look forward to future installments of this series. Trailers are something I like to take seriously when they are done right (like this one is). I actually made a list of my top ten trailers of '09.

  6. Yeah absolutely. There's a lot of work that goes in to trailers and when they're done properly they can really alter public perceptions and prejudices towards a film. Of course, that can also lead to them hating it once the film hits!
