Trailer Of The Week - Week #32

Film Intel is in full on Apes mode this week and therefore, Trailer Of The Week takes you back to 1968 and the original trail for the very first Planet Of The Apes, which is vintage trailer heaven. There's the weighty intonations of the voiceover, the customary reveal of crucial plot points (traditional in trailers prior to the mid-nineties) and the point where the trailer stops completely so that the star, Charlton Heston, can break the fourth wall to tell you to come and see the film. In short: it is awesome. Update: Sadly the original trailer attached to this post was removed, meaning the updated version is sans the Heston fourth wall breaking. And all the less fun for it!

Trailer Of The Week is a regular Film Intel feature which picks a different tasty trailer of delectable goodness every week and presents it on Sunday for your viewing pleasure. Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes major, sometimes independent, sometimes brilliant, sometimes a load of old bobbins: always guaranteed to entertain.
