September is noted as a month that's usually quiet for new, quality, film releases: we've finished the Summer blockbusters and we've not quite made it through to the awards season selections yet. In a highly unscientific investigation into whether this is indeed the case or not, Trailer Of The Week went back ten years to find what was sitting at the top of the US Box Office in the fourth weekend of September 2001. And what did we find? Hard Ball. Which just about proves the theory correct in a single stroke.
