Trailer Of The Week - Week #18 - BIFF 12 - Samsara

If the words 'experimental' and 'non-narrative' normally have your running for the covers then stay a while to ponder whether Samsara might be the film to change your mind. Directed by Ron Fricke, who has history in this sort of cinema, Samsara will be part of the Closing Night Gala at Bradford International Film Festival, in a little over nine hours time. The festival have clearly picked something of a risky choice to close out on but, nonetheless, an interesting one, which is sure to make great use of their Pictureville cinema's widescreen format. A report from the gala will be on the site on Monday.

Trailer Of The Week is a regular Film Intel feature which picks a different tasty trailer of delectable goodness every week and presents it on Sunday for your viewing pleasure. Sometimes old, sometimes new, sometimes major, sometimes independent, sometimes brilliant, sometimes a load of old bobbins: always guaranteed to entertain. If you want to make a suggestion for Trailer Of The Week, see the contact us page.

The 18th Bradford International Film Festival runs from 19th - 29th April at The National Media Museum and several satellite venues in and around Bradford. It includes a European Features competition, the Shine Short Film Award and several major UK premieres and retrospectives.

    1. Very gorgeous film as well. If you're comfortable with the non-narrative aspect of it then I'm sure you'll love it. Try and see it in a proper cinema with the new 8K digital equipment if you can.
